Explore nature and discover yourself! New York City nature belongs to all of us: We are in it, and it is in us. Step off the concrete with naturalist Anne-Marie Vaduva--previously a NYC Park Ranger, Central Park Conservancy woodlands gardener and zoo keeper. See, hear, smell, or feel :
PARENTS We teach kids about nature through hands-on activities and nature crafts that encourage exploration and compassion for each other and other living things.
COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES Bring your ecology, biology, geology and other life sciences students to the park where they will explore science through a local lens. NYC Nature will help expand and deepen their connections to the course material. COLLEGE CLUBS Take your student group on an enlightening guided nature walk and group bonding experience at the NYC park of your choice. New York is better known for its skyscrapers and subways than for its parks, but some people actually spend most of their time hiking outdoors away from the traffic and bustle of the city. Anne-Marie Vaduva was a New York City park ranger for three years before deciding to start her own business as a naturalist. She now gives tours to kids and adults in parks around the five boroughs in hopes that they'll discover a bit of the wild she saw as a kid in Romania.--(Soundcloud.com)
